2. Inclusivity and Safety

  • Safe Environment – Report Issues: We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all speakers and attendees.   • No Tolerance for Harassment: We do not tolerate any behavior that is degrading to any gender, race, sexual orientation, religion (or lack thereof), disability, or technology choices, nor do we tolerate any behavior that would be deemed harassment or discrimination.

  • Stay On Topic: Keep discussions relevant to the event’s theme or session. Off-topic comments or spam will be removed.
  • Appropriate Behavior: Maintain a professional demeanor throughout the event. This includes appropriate language, attire, and behavior.
  • Graceful Acceptance: Gracefully accept constructive criticism and be thoughtful in how you communicate both in person and online.

4. Privacy and Security

  • Respect Privacy: Do not share personal information about other participants without their consent. This includes personal details, photographs, or any other private information.
  • Secure Environment: Do not engage in any activities that could compromise the security of the event or the participants, such as hacking, phishing, or sharing malicious content.

5. Participation Etiquette

  • Mute When Not Speaking: If you are not speaking, please mute your microphone to avoid background noise.
  • Use Chat Responsibly: Use the chat feature for questions, comments, or sharing resources relevant to the discussion. Avoid spamming or sending unrelated messages.
  • Raise Your Hand: If you wish to speak, use the “raise hand” feature or wait for an appropriate moment to contribute to the conversation.

6. Enforcement and Consequences

  • Right to Warn and Expel: The organizing team reserves the right to warn or expel any attendee or speaker violating these rules. The decision of the organizing team is final.
  • Expulsion: Conference participants violating these rules may be expelled from the conference at the discretion of the conference organizers. Severe violations may result in a permanent ban from future events.
  • Reporting to Third Parties: If necessary, we reserve the right to pass on names of those who violate our Code of Conduct to third parties, including law enforcement.
  • Banning from Similar Events: We may ban individuals who are banned from other similar events.
